After buying a book on making selections in photoshop that I found very useful I noticed there was another in the series about restoration. Its not something that I would think I would have enjoyed but this is my first try which I have to say I got alot of satisfaction from.
I'm not sure who the boy is but I do know the photgraph was dated 1911 so if he is still around then he would have alot to tell us. It was a photograph found at my parents house in a "shoebox" just packed full of memories.

Im not sure how "p.c." it is to have a dog smoking these days but he looks so refined in those glasses!

EDIT! Due to this piece consistantly getting favorites and comments (which I am very grateful of) I have decided to put it up as a print. This is more to get used to the print program than anything but hopefully someone may want it on a wall some where.

Also, I have a lot of comments saying they prefer the original as they like distressed and old things. This is a very good point and also agreed with but being honest I cant really put up a deviation that all i had to do with was click "scan".

Edit 2!!!! Even the rather huge original file doesnt want to print more than 4x6 so ignore the last edit! Ho Hum.
